Dr.Ch. Sai Babu Director, Academics and Planning & Professor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Dr.Ch. Sai Babu, having 20 years of teaching experience is a Professor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He is the founder Director of Directorate of Admissions. Prior to this, he served as founder Director of Directorate of “Quality Power & Clean Energy Initiatives” of JNTU Kakinada. He is also Chairman Board of Studies in Electrical & Electronics Engineering department of JNTU Kakinada. He is awarded as Best Teacher of University College of Engineering, Kakinada, JNTUK in 2010. Dr. Sai Babu did his B.E in Electrical Engineering from AU College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam and completed M.Tech (Electrical Machines and Industrial Drives) from REC Warangal. He obtained Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering from JNTU, Hyderabad. Under his supervision 2 scholars have been awarded Ph.D degree and several scholars are pursuing their research. He is author of the book “Theory of Power Electronics” published by S.Chand, New Delhi. His research areas include Power Electronics & Drives, HVDC Converter Reliability, Optimization of Electrical Systems, Power Quality using FACTS and Green Energy Initiatives. He has more than 100 International / National research publications in Journals / Conferences. He has Co-Chaired Power Electronics Session for the 2nd International Conference on “Quality, Reliability and Control”, organized by IIT, Mumbai in Dec 2003. Prof. Sai Babu joined in JNTU Anantapur as Assistant Professor in 1992 and became Associate Professor in 2003. He was promoted as Professor in 2006. He has contributed his services as Deputy Warden for Hostels, Office In charge of Academic Section, Project Engineer (Electrical) and Officer In charge of Hostels. He has also served as Treasurer, Joint Secretary and Secretary for Teachers Association. Mr. Sai Babu is a life member of ISTE and organized several conferences and workshops. He is a reviewer of several reputed Journals. |
