Better interaction between technical institutions and industry is the need of the hour. This will have great bearing on the Engineering Curriculum, exposure of industrial atmosphere to engineering students and subsequent placement of young graduating engineers in industries across the globe.

Industry Institute Interaction Program (IIIP) is a platform at which JNTUK will interact with Industries to understand each other's requirements and evolve together in order to make technical education practically relevant to the industrial and business applications. The aim of IIIP is to facilitate a fruitful correlation of the two, essential for building and strengthening the technical human capital of India. It would holistically cover aspects like Research and Innovation, Faculty Development and work closely with other universities PAN India.

Research and study problems faced by the industries and business houses can be addressed efficiently by the already existing knowledge and expertise in JNTUK. This would give industries very authentic results and solutions across all problem areas and subjects in science, technology and other related fields. At the same time, some of the focal points of Industry could become the topics for case studies and research in JNTUK. They could be useful in developing more focused fields in technical education essential to make it relevant and correctly utilized.
