Avionics plays an important role in modern aircraft. Technological advances in the fields of Electronics, Computers, and Software are being increasingly used in Avionics to help improve mission efficiency. There is a growing need for qualified engineers to cater to the design, development, production, and maintenance of technologically advanced areas of Avionics.
Dr. B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, one of the distinguished alumni of the College of Engineering Kakinada and founder director of Infotech Pvt. Ltd has forecasted the potential growth of the aerospace & defense industry and identified the JNTUK can be the knowledge hub to cater to the needs of the rapidly growing Avionics industry.
1. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is executed on the 8th day of June 2011 between Infotech Enterprises Limited and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada, With M/s. Infotech Enterprises Ltd., (now known as CYIENT) as a Sponsor MTech Avionics course, started in 2011.
2. The primary objective for this M.Tech Avionics program will be to train students in the Avionics systems . It comprises learning working principles and concepts, Embedded systems, software development cycle concepts, and exposure to related Avionics industry standards. The students are also trained in some of the software testing and simulation tools used in the industry.
