ABOUT SCHOOL OF HEALTH SCIENCES & RESEARCH
School of Health Sciences & Research (SHS&R) was commenced in the year 2010, under Institute of Science & Technology, in Jawaharlal Nehru Technological university, Kakinada. This program is full time with four semesters or two years duration where the last semester is for project work.
The M. Tech. in Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety (EOHS), a multidisciplinary master’s program at School of Health Sciences and Research, IST, JNTUK is designed for graduates aiming to progress into leadership roles in the field of Industrial Safety and Health. This program offers a combination of theoretical knowledge with practical applications to address real-world challenges which provides strong grounding in scientific knowledge and practical skills, equipping students to lead and support industries in upholding rigorous safety and health standards while effectively tackling workplace challenges. The program also fosters collaboration with industry experts, offering valuable insights into professional practices and enhancing students readiness for impactful careers in the field.
Dr. B. Tirumala Krishna completed his B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees at the College of Engineering, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, India. He worked at GITAM University, Visakhapatnam, India, at various levels as Assistant Professor and Senior Assistant Professor. He is currently working as Professor at the Department of ECE, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK), Kakinada, India. His research areas of interest are fractional-order systems, fractional-order signal processing, and analog VLSI.
His Bio-Data is placed in Marquis who’s who in the world in 2014, 15, 16 editions. He is a member of IEEE, Fellow of Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (FIETE), Life Member Instrument Society of India, Life Member Bio−Medical Engineering Society of India. One of his papers is listed in best downloaded, Best cited articles from Elsevier signal processing journal during 2011, 2012. He has visited Srilanka, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand to present paper, chairing technical sessions in various conferences. He has reviewed papers in many international journals of IEEE(USA), Elsevier Journals, Springer Journals and some Conferences. He is currently handling two sponsored research projects each from Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi and University Grants Commission,New Delhi, India.
Over 32 years of experience in Manufacturing, Process, Service Industry dealing with Safety, HR, Operations. Besides this 23 years of experience as Faculty teaching Organizational Behaviour, Safety in Industries, Psychology etc., subjects. Personality Development Trainer, Motivational and Inspirational Speaker.
Dr. B.S.Bhavani has 8 years of experience in teaching in the EOHS (Environmental Occupational Health & Safety) department of IST JNTUK. Having 7 years of experience as an EHS consultant and trainer for Food, Port, Chemical and various other Industries.
Having 7 years of experience in teaching at IST JNTUK- MTech-EOHS (Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety) and 8 years of industrial experience Specific to EOHS and Operations Management.

The M.Tech. in Environmental, Occupational Health, and Safety (EOHS) program is designed to provide practical learning alongside theoretical education.

Analysis of real-world scenarios like industrial accidents, disasters, and workplace injuries helps students apply theoretical knowledge to practical problems.
Students prepare and deliver presentations to improve communication skills and effectively convey technical concepts.
Encourages research and academic writing to explore current issues and advancements in EOHS.
Students work on industry-specific projects, gaining hands-on experience and developing practical solutions for real-world EOHS challenges.
After completing M.Tech. in EOHS, graduates have wide career opportunities across multiple sectors in India and abroad with highly rewarding positions.
